Mr. Normand R. Boutin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Normand R. Boutin, age 75 of Homosassa, Fl., died in his home surrounded by family on June 5, 2022. Normand was born June 9, 1946 in Fall River, MA, son of Archilles and Dorilla (Bouchard) Boutin. Norm enjoyed a 32 year career as a firefighter with the Fall River Fire Department, where he was stationed at Central Station from 1970 until he retired in 2002. Normand went on to develop a successful horse farm in Harwich, Cape Cod, known as the Sea Horse Farm. Along with training horses he also earned his mark as a dog trainer with his black lab, Joy. Norm was generous with his love and many talents. He enjoyed contributing to his community by helping charitable organizations or tackling a project for family and friends. He was always quick to offer a hand and was affectionately known as “1-800-call-norm”. Normand retired to Homosassa, Fl.,where he was involved in riding his Harley with friends, paddling the rivers in his canoe and had been a member of The Nature Coast Dragon Boat Club. Norm was an avid golfer and offered fierce competition on the course. Norm’s other passions in life included, hosting family and friends get together a, cooking and eating good food, and sharing his abundant love with others. Normand was processed in death by his parents, siblings: Donald, Claire (Bonoan), and Al, along with his first wife, Laurene (Valcourt) Boutin. Normand was a strong family man. He was a living husband to his wife, Susan Kent. He was very close to his children and their spouses: Dawn (Pete) DiCecco, Christopher (Melanie) Boutin and Jonathan (Birte) Boutin. He especially enjoyed spending time with his six grand daughters, Maura, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Meryn, Carly and Claire. Normand leaves behind many family and friends as a living tribute to his life well lived.
