Mrs. Janet Frances Herrmann

Janet Frances Herrmann, aged 77, passed away on December 9th at her home in Beverly Hills, FL. She was born on August 13, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Charles Gerry and Mary Madeline Serra. After graduating from Darby High school she attended Pierce Jr. College and worked for Clifton Precision, where she met her husband. She was most recently employed before retirement as a technical rep at Computer Associates. Janet was an avid volunteer. She was a member of the Taylor Hospital Junior Board and for several years was the director of their May Fair. She was also a Hospice volunteer. After moving to Florida she was active with many organizations including community watch, The Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park, Citrus Springs Civic Association, Citrus County Craft Council, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and The Red Hat Society to name a few. She was an amazing cook and for a time had a cottage baking business located at the Crystal River mall. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years, Kurt Herrmann, two sons, Paul Herrmann (Lisa) of Denver, PA, Jason Herrmann (Tracy) of Homosassa, FL, a daughter Tara Herrmann of Denver PA, her 5 grand children, Emilee, Lauren, Tyler, Austin, Shauna and one great grandchild, Gabriel. Also, a brother, Mark Gerry (Joan) of Broomall, PA, a sister, June Tucker of Glenolden, PA, a brother-in-law, Paul Herrmann of Homosassa, FL, a sister-in-law Jean Chapman of Worthington, OH, a niece and several nephews. A celebration of life will be held in Pennsylvania at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the amazing angel workers of VITAS Hospice, who provided such loving care and compassion to our family during this difficult time.
