Mrs. Esther Darlene Walker

Mrs. Esther Darlene Walker, age 67 of Ocala, Florida, died Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was born January 3, 1955 in Holder, FL, daughter of Abram and Bonnie (Gavin) Bellamy. Everyone knew her as Darlene. Darlene was always trying to help others, she had the best sense of humor, and was almost guaranteed to make you laugh. She was an amazing cook and was known for her culinary skills. Darlene also dedicated a lot of time to her community in Citrus County. Whether it was cooking for hundreds at the annual Hernando Heritage Cattle Drive or educating people about the serious issue of drug abuse through the Citrus County Drug Coalition, she was always touching a life in some way. She is survived by her 3 children, Betty Ann Burt, Major Walker and Rebecca Washington and 6 grandchildren, Xenia Washington, Jaylen Washington, Alyssa Coats, Amelia Washington, Edward Washington, and Weston Walker. Darlene was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She adored all close to her heart. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
